New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh on October 20. PM Modi will inaugurate an international airport here. Let us tell you that Kushinagar is also known as the Mahaparinirvan Sthali of Mahatma Buddha.  Sources in the Ministry of Culture said on Tuesday that Buddhist monks from Sri Lanka will also be the special guests of the state at the inauguration of the International Airport.

According to the information, a delegation of about 123 people from Sri Lanka will be present here. More importantly, the delegation coming from Sri Lanka will bring with it the metal remains of the Blessed Lord Buddha to India after a long gap of 141 years. There are also 12 Buddhist monks in the representative who is coming from Sri Lanka. Waskaduwa will lead the Buddhist monks, the present great hero of the temple. The delegation will also be attended by deputy heads of all the four Nikatas - Ashgria, Amarapura, Ramania and Malwatta.

Five Sri Lankan Cabinet Ministers will also be present in the delegation. The metal remains of Lord Buddha will be given separate seats in Sri Lankan Airlines aircraft. Tell us that these remains went to Sri Lanka from India in 1880. The metal residue is said to have a lot of importance in Buddhism. This is what is worshipped before the statue is worshipped. Where it is placed is considered to be a very important religious place.
