Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kedarnath is going to be very important for the Hindus, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Uttarakhand has intensified the preparations for it. Mahamandaleshwars of all the Akharas have been called in this program. PM Modi will unveil the statue of Jagadguru Shankaracharya on his visit. At the same time, BJP leaders will visit 100 temples and holy places across the country.

Sadhus and saints from 12 Jyotirlingas and 87 important temples across the country have been invited to the event. BJP leaders will visit different temples in the country for 2 hours when PM Modi is in Kedarnath on Friday (November 5, 2021). The programme will be broadcast through live LED screening at all holy places. Several projects are also scheduled to be launched in Kedarnath. Adi Guru Shankaracharya's mausoleum was damaged in the 2013 disaster, where the statue has now been constructed after restoration.

PM Modi will also be addressed on the occasion. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has also invited chief ministers of other states to the event. In Uttarakhand, assembly elections are scheduled to be held next year. The Devasthanam Act, set up to manage the holy Chardham, has led to opposition from saints and priests. PM Modi's visit is considered crucial.
