Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again displayed his influential presence, not just in politics but also on social media platforms. With a staggering following of 94.2 million on X, previously known as Twitter, PM Modi commands a massive audience.

Utilizing his Twitter handle as a tool for spreading awareness, PM Modi touches upon various topics, ranging from fitness and education to inspiring life stories. A recent example showcasing the public's interest in PM Modi's activities emerged when 'Lakshadweep' became the ninth most searched term in India on Google.

Reports indicated a surge of over 50,000 searches on that day, revolving around keywords such as 'Lakshadweep island,' 'Andaman,' 'Lakshadweep flight,' 'Lakshadweep airport,' and 'Kochi to Lakshadweep.'

This isn't the first instance where PM Modi's social media presence has significantly impacted tourism. In the post-COVID era of 2021, his message urging people to visit the tulip garden in Jammu and Kashmir led to a substantial increase in tourist footfall, showcasing the immense influence he wields.

During his recent visit to Lakshadweep on January 2 and 3, PM Modi inaugurated the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection and laid the foundation stone for the renovation of primary healthcare facilities and five model Anganwadi centers.

Highlighting his visit, PM Modi ventured into snorkeling to explore the undersea life and shared his experience on social media. He emphasized the allure of Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea, encouraging adventure enthusiasts to include it in their travel lists. The Prime Minister even posted pictures of his snorkeling experience and serene moments spent on the beaches.

Speaking about the government's initiatives in Lakshadweep, PM Modi emphasized their focus on uplifting lives through comprehensive development.
