Pm Modi's crucial meeting in Parliament, several senior ministers present

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is meeting senior ministers ahead of the winter session. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Prahlad Joshi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are among those present. Congress MP Dipendra Singh Hooda has sent a adjournment motion notice to the Rajya Sabha. He has demanded a discussion in the House on the issue of legal guarantee of MSP to farmers, compensation to deceased farmers.

The Congress Parliamentary Party met ahead of the winter session of Parliament. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said, the Congress demands a sansad dialogue on border issues. He said the suspension of 12 MPs is unacceptable and against the rules. The Congress stands united on the issue. He said the Modi government is insensitive to the annadatas and the common people. The increase in prices of essential commodities has spoiled the monthly budget of each family.

The meeting began in the Central Hall of Parliament. All Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of the party including Rahul Gandhi are participating in the meeting. Congress and other opposition parties are demanding suspension of the order to suspend 12 MPs from the winter session. Addressing the MPs at the meeting, party president Sonia Gandhi lashed out at the Central government. He said the Modi government has sold the property of the country. The PSUs have been abolished by the Central Government. He also raised the issue of inflation and said that the ever increasing prices of goods have broken the back of the general public. The monthly budget of each family has deteriorated. Sonia Gandhi also took a stand on the border at the Congress Parliamentary Party meeting. He said that issues relating to border should be discussed in Parliament. On the suspension of 12 MPs, Sonia Gandhi said that we have stood firm lying with our members on the issue of suspension of 12 MPs.
