New Delhi: Starting from Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit for two days in Gujarat, where he has scheduled a number of activities. He will take part in the Navratri festivities as well.

Over the course of the two days, Prime Minister Modi will go to Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, and Ambaji.
He will lay the foundation stone and dedicate more than Rs 3,400 crore worth of projects in Surat on Thursday morning. These include DREAM City, Biodiversity Park, and other development projects including public infrastructure, heritage restoration, city bus/BRTS infrastructure, electric vehicle infrastructure, and cooperative projects by the cental and state governments.

The PM will also inaugurate the Phase-I of road infrastructure and the main entrance of Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City. The DREAM City project was initiated with the intention of supplying the expanding demand for office and residential space for Surat's quickly expanding diamond trading industry. The prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for Phase-II of the project.

Along with opening the Khoj Museum at Surat's Science Centre, Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a biodiversity park that would span 87 hectares. The museum is designed with interactive exhibits, inquiry-based activities, and investigations centred on curiosity. After that, he would go to Bhavnagar to lay the cornerstone and launch other construction projects totaling more than Rs 5,200 crore.

The world's first CNG terminal and a brownfield port will both have their foundations officially laid by the prime minister in the city. The port would include state-of-the-art infrastructure for the CNG terminal and will be developed at a cost of more than Rs 4,000 crore. Modern container terminals, multifunctional terminals, and liquid terminals with direct door-to-door connectivity to the existing road and rail network will all be present at the port.

A 20-acre, about Rs 100 crore regional science centre in Bhavnagar will also be opened by the prime minister. The centre features a number of galleries with specific themes, such as the Nobel Prize gallery, automotive gallery, and marine aquatic gallery. Children will have access to the center's creative space.

The prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for projects like package 9 of Sauni Yojna Link 2 and the Chorvadla Zone water supply project during the programme. Other projects the prime minister will inaugurate during the programme include package 7 of Sauni Yojna Link 2, the 25 MW Palitana Solar PV Project, the APPL Container project, and others.

The 36th National Games will be officially opened by Prime Minister Modi that same day in the evening at a magnificent event held at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. He will also address competitors in the National Games from all throughout the nation.

For the first time ever, the national games are being held in Gujarat. From September 29 to October 12, 2022, it will be held. The largest National Games ever will take place with about 15,000 athletes, coaches, and officials competing in 36 sports disciplines from throughout the nation.

Moreover, the "Swarnim Gujarat Sports University" will be opened at Desar by Prime Minister Modi. The landscape of sports education in the nation is anticipated to change as a result of this significant endeavour.

The Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off at Gandhinagar station on the second day of Prime Minister Modi's visit. From there, he will take the train to Kalupur Railway Station. The prime minister will visit the metro from Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra station to officially launch the Ahmedabad Metro Rail project at around 11:30 a.m. At a public event held at the Ahmedabad Education Society in Ahmedabad, he will officially launch Phase-I of the Ahmedabad Metro project at midday.

Later on in the day, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate a number of projects totaling more than Rs 7,200 crore in Ambaji, lay the foundation stone for several other projects, and perform darshan and pooja at the Ambaji Temple. He would thereafter go to Gabbar Tirtha to see Maha Aarti.

The programmes in Ambaji include laying the foundation stone of over 45,000 houses built under the PM Awas Yojana. Also, as part of the PRASAD initiative, Prime Minister Modi will lay the cornerstone for the construction of the Taranga Hill - Ambaji - Abu Road New Broad Gauge Line and of pilgrimage facilities at the Ambaji Temple.

The new rail line is anticipated to assist thousands of pilgrims who travel to Ambaji, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, and will improve the pilgrims' worship experiences at all of these holy sites. The development of the runway and related infrastructure at Air Force Station, Deesa, as well as the Ambaji Bypass Road are among the other projects for which the foundation stone will be set.

The 13-km-long New Palanpur-New Chatodar Section and the 62-km-long New Palanpur-New Mahesana Section of the Western Freight Dedicated Corridor will also be dedicated by Prime Minister Modi (Palanpur bypass line). It will improve connectivity to Mundra, Pipavav, and other Gujarati ports as well as the Deendayal Port Authority (Kandla).

\With the opening of these sections, 734 kilometer of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor will become functional. The opening of this stretch will help the economies of Gujarat's Mehsana-Palanpur, Rajasthan's Swaroopganj, Keshavganj, and Kishangarh, and Haryana's Rewari-Manesar and Narnaul. The widening of the Mitha-Tharad-Deesa Road is one of many other road projects that the prime minister will dedicate.
