New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi addressed the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) through video conferencing on Tuesday to mark 125 years. During this, PM Modi said that on one side we have to save the lives of the countrymen, on the other hand, the economy of the country has to be stabilized as well, speed up. He talked about "Getting Growth Back".

PM Modi further said that reinvigorating the economy against Corona is one of our top priority. For this, the government is taking decisions that need to be taken immediately. Together, decisions have been taken that will help the country in Long Run. He said that be it women, disabled persons, elders, labourers, everyone has benefited from it. During the lockdown, the government has distributed more than 8 crore gas cylinders to the poor under the Ujjwala scheme. He said that the government is also doing such policy reforms whose country had given up hope. If I talk about the agriculture sector, the rules and regulations that were made after independence in our country, the farmers were left in the hands of middlemen.

The PM further said that keeping in mind the welfare of our workers, labour reforms are also being done to increase employment opportunities. Non-strategic sectors in which the private sector was not even allowed have been opened. Demand to clarify the definition of MSMEs has been fulfilled by the industry for a long time. This will enable MSMEs to move forward without any worries and they will not have to follow other routes to maintain the status of MSMEs. The PM said that the third country in the world which has a large number of coal reserves, which has business leaders like you entrepreneurs, but even then if the coal comes from outside in that country, what is the reason for that? Now the work of freeing the coal sectors from these bonds has started.

He said that now the participation of private players in the strategic sectors of the country is also becoming a reality. Whether you want to invest in the space sector, explore new opportunities in atomic energy, the possibilities are completely open for you. Every opportunity is waiting for you. He said that now there is a need to have products made in the country, made for the world. How can we reduce the country's imports, what new goals can be set? We have to set our targets to increase productivity in all sectors.
