PM Modi expresses grief over Ram Vilas Paswan's untimely demise

New Delhi: The body of Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder Ram Vilas Paswan has been brought to his government residence 12 Janpath Delhi at 10 am on Friday. After the final tribute, his body will be taken to Patna, the capital of Bihar at 2 pm. His body will be kept in the LJP office there. His loved ones will be able to pay homage to their leader there too. Paswan will be cremated in Patna on Saturday morning.

On Paswan's death, PM Modi has said that "I cannot express my sorrow in words. I lost my friend". President Ramnath Kovind said that the country has lost a visionary leader. Ram Vilas Paswan has been the most active and longest-serving member of Parliament. He was the voice of the Dalits and struggled for the marginalized. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted that, "The news of Ram Vilas Paswan's untimely demise is sad. The poor-downtrodden lost a strong political voice. My condolences to his family members". 

Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and former deputy CM of Bihar said that "The death of Ram Vilas Paswan is very sad news. He has raised his voice for the poor, the underprivileged, the exploited, and the downtrodden all his life. He has a very good relationship with our father. We have stayed as a family".
