New Delhi: Four days after violence erupted in various areas of the country's capital, PM Narendra Modi tweeted. PM Modi has said in his tweet, "Efforts are being made to restore peace. Efforts are going on from the police and agencies. I appeal to my sisters and brothers in Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood. It is important that the atmosphere is calm and normalcy should be restored as soon as possible."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted from his official Twitter handle, writing that, "a comprehensive review was done on the prevailing situation in various areas of Delhi. Police and other agencies are working on the ground level to ensure peace and normalcy. Peace and harmony are an ongoing effort. I request my sisters and brothers in Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times. It is important that calm and normalcy be restored at the earliest."

Earlier, the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, targeted the central government, from the Kejriwal government to the Delhi Police, while giving press talks. Sonia said that the BJP leaders kept speaking of hatred and the government did not take any action. He asked where the Union Home Minister Amit Shah was from Sunday. Sonia also asked for Amit Shah to resign.
