New Delhi: Padma Shri awardee Radha Mohan passed away today at the age of 78. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar when he passed away. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of radha mohan, a noted economist turned environmentalist of Odisha.

 

Pm Modi tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "Prof. Radha Mohan ji was deeply passionate about adopting sustainable and organic practices in particular towards agriculture. He was also honoured for his knowledge on issues related to economy and ecology. Saddened by his death. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti."

Just last year, Radha Mohan was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, for her work in agriculture with her daughter. He was credited for his attempts to convert a disgraced piece of land into a huge food forest in Nayagarh district of Odisha using only organic techniques.
