New Delhi: Padma Shri awardee Radha Mohan passed away today at the age of 78. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar when he passed away. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of radha mohan, a noted economist turned environmentalist of Odisha.

Prof Radhamohan Ji was deeply passionate about agriculture, especially adopting sustainable and organic practices. He was also respected for his knowledge on subjects relating to the economy and ecology. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.

Just last year, Radha Mohan was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, for her work in agriculture with her daughter. He was credited for his attempts to convert a disgraced piece of land into a huge food forest in Nayagarh district of Odisha using only organic techniques.
