New Delhi: It will no longer be difficult to go to Kevadia village in Gujarat to see the Statue of Unity, the skyscraper of the country's first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The direct train will now run from Delhi to Kevadia village. PM Modi flagged off 8 trains connecting the Statue of Unity, Kevadia to different parts of the country through video conferencing. PM Modi also inaugurated various railway projects in Gujarat.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said that this is probably the first time in the history of railways that so many trains have been flagged off from different corners of the country to one place. The Kevadia place is also the hallmark of Sardar Patel, the world's tallest idol, who gives the country the mantra of Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat. The Kevadia rail connectivity is also going to change the lives of tribal siblings.

PM Modi also launched the new buildings of Dabhoi-Chanchod gauge conversion through video conferencing, Chanchod-Kevadia gauge conversion, electrification of newly constructed Pratapnagar-Kevadia section and Dabhoi, Chanchod and Kevadia stations. PM Modi recalled the late former CM MG Ramachandran of Tamil Nadu on his birth anniversary and paid homage. He said that we are sincerely trying to fulfil the ideals of MGR.
