Gorakhpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today gave a big gift to the Gorakhpur district. In fact, PM Modi today joined Gorakhpur to dedicate Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's dream project Manure Factory, AIIMS and The Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) of Baba Raghav Das Medical College at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore. In 2016, it was the Prime Minister who laid the foundation stone of the manure factory and AIIMS and now he himself has dedicated it to the people. Now he's addressing the public.

In his address, PM Modi said, "We started working on three sources - 100 per cent neem coating of urea and prevented misuse. The second one gave urea cards to the people to know how the farm needed manure. Thirdly, we increased urea production. We are opening closed factories. One has started and the rest will also open in the coming years. Just as Bhagirath ji brought the Ganga, the energy Ganga has been brought to deliver fuel to this fertilizer factory. A gas pipeline has been laid from Haldia to Gorakhpur. This has already led to fuel and cheaper gas from gas pipelines in many cities of eastern UP. I said that Gorakhpur will become the pivot of up's development which is coming true. The factory will also provide employment and self-employment opportunities. Many new businesses will be started in Purvanchal. '

At the same time, he said, "We have seen in the Corona period why self-reliance is necessary in the matter of manure. The closure of international trade also led to a huge increase in the prices of manure in the international market. But we did not allow the burden to fall on the farmers. This year, when the price of manure increased, we had to increase the subsidy by 43,000 crore rupees. Because the impact of prices should not go on our farmers. While manure is being sold in the world for Rs.60-65 per kg, we are committed to making it available in India at a price of 10 to 12 times less. A National Mission has also been launched for this purpose. '

He further said, "This area of Purvanchal, a stronghold of sugarcane farmers, is also important for ethanol production. Earlier, Gulf oil used to come, now the oil of the bush has also started coming. I appreciate the Yogi Government for doing unprecedented work for the sugarcane farmers. Price increased to Rs.350. As much as the last two governments did together, Yogiji paid the sugarcane farmers in just four and a half.''
