Gandhi Nagar: PM Narendra Modi reached Ahmedabad in his hometown of Gujarat on Friday on a two-day visit. He paid homage to former Gujarat CM Keshubhai Patel and Gujarati cinema superstar Naresh Kanodia and his musician brother Mahesh Kanodia and consoled the family in the hour of grief. 92-year-old Patel died here on Thursday morning. He was ill for a long time. Recently, Kanodia brothers had died. After this, PM Modi reached Kevadia and inaugurated Arogya Van there. 

Earlier, PM Modi arrived in Ahmedabad this morning on a two-day visit. Several leaders, including CM Vijay Rupani, Governor Acharya Devvrat and state BJP President CR Patil, welcomed the Prime Minister at the airport. PM Modi reached Gandhinagar directly from the airport to pay tribute to Keshubhai. There he spent some time with his family members and also spoke to the family.

After PM Narendra Modi left, a family member said, "Modi Ji remembered the days he spent with Keshubhai and asked him about his important moments." He called Keshubhai the "father figure" and said that his departure is a loss for him, which will never be fulfilled.
