Through video conferencing, PM Narendra Modi said that during this time that today's program is an example of how the country has not stopped, not stopped and is not tired even in the crisis of Corona. He said that this time, Eastern and North Eastern India are facing dual challenges. Again this year in the North East, heavy rains are causing a lot of damage. Many have died, many have had to leave their homes.

PM Modi said that in this difficult time I assure all of you that the whole country stands with you. The Government of India is doing all necessary work shoulder to shoulder with all the State Governments. Today is a big day for the millions of people of Manipur including Imphal and especially for our sisters here. The Manipur water supply project, to be completed at a cost of about Rs 3,000 crore, is going to reduce water problems for the people here.

PM Modi said that, this project is designed keeping in mind the needs of not only today but for the next 20-22 years. With this project, millions of people will not only have access to clean drinking water, but thousands of people will also get employment. Last year when water life mission was starting in the country, I said that we have to work many times faster than the previous governments. When piped water is to be delivered to more than 15 crore houses, it cannot be thought of stopping even for a moment.
