New Delhi: PM Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are going to have a major meeting this evening on the issue of the economy. According to sources, the important meeting of PM Modi with Finance Minister will be held at 6:30 pm today. According to sources, the meeting is expected to discuss the economic situation in the country, the demand revival. The economic relief package is also likely to be discussed.

According to sources, the Finance Minister is also going to apprise PM Modi about the progress of the self-reliant package. Besides, housing, road infrastructure are also likely to be discussed. Earlier, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das had said that if the corona epidemic spreads again, it could adversely affect the beginning of the economy's reforms.

Deputy Governor Michael Debabrata Patra had said that it could take several years to compensate for the loss of production caused by the corona epidemic. These views were expressed at the newly constituted Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting held between October 7 and 9. Shashank Bhide, a newly appointed independent member of the committee, said uncertainties related to the corona epidemic could continue to affect the inflation scenario in the next two to three quarters.
