New Delhi: PM Modi on Sunday met the heads of 16 big companies in the energy sector (CEOs) in Houston, USA. During this time an agreement was reached between the US teleurian and the Indian company Petronet. Under this, Tellurian has signed MoUs to supply 5 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in India. The two companies will aim to finalize transaction contracts by 31 March 2020.

The leaders of Baker Hughes, BP, Emerson Electric Company, IHS Market and other companies attended the round table meeting with PM Modi. It is being told that after the recent attack on Saudi Aramco's oil plant, India wants to increase the circle of its suppliers. In fact, due to political uncertainty in the Gulf and Middle East countries, India is looking towards the US for its oil needs. is. In such a situation, during the visit of PM Modi to America, the public companies of petroleum and natural gas made some deals. India and the United States particularly want to increase cooperation on shale and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

India has purchased 1,84,000 barrels of oil per day from the US during November 2018 to May 2019, while during the same period last year, India purchased 40,000 barrels of oil from the US.
