New Delhi: A 21-day lockdown has been implemented to prevent coronavirus infection in the country. However, now the period of this lockdown can be extended further. According to the information given by sources, PM Narendra Modi can address the country on 12 or 13 April. PM Narendra Modi can announce the extend of lockdown.

Today PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states through video conferencing. In this meeting, Chief Ministers of most states have requested to extend the lockdown. After which PM Narendra Modi has indicated to extend the lockdown for two weeks. Some relief can also be given to the farmers if the lockdown is increased.

After which now the lockdown can be extended till 30 April.
