New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today addressed the country with his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat- Ek Madhyam. During this time, the PM recalled former PM and veteran Congress leader PV Narasimha Rao. PM Modi said, 'Today on 28 June, India is paying tribute to one of its former Prime Ministers, who led the country through a delicate phase'. Today is the start day of our birth centenary year of our former PM P. V. Narasimha Rao.

PM Modi further said, 'Narasimha Rao had joined the freedom struggle in his youth. From a young age Narasimha Rao was at the forefront in raising his voice against injustice'. He would leave no stone unturned to raise his voice. PM Modi said, 'I request that in the birth centenary year of Narasimha Rao, all of you, try to know as much as possible about his life and thoughts. I once again pay my tribute to him.'

Referring to Narasimha Rao, PM Modi said, 'On the one hand, he had built up in Indian values, on the other hand, he also had knowledge of western literature and science.' He was among the most experienced leaders of India. No statement has been made by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on the birth anniversary of the veteran leader of his party.
