New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (October 15) inaugurated the 'bhoomi poojan' ceremony of Hostel Phase-1 (Boys' Hostel), constructed by Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj in Surat via video conferencing. The hostel building has residential facility for about 1500 students. It also has an auditorium and a library for students.
Addressing the program, PM Modi said that today a virtuous work is being started by Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj on Vijayadashami. I wish you all and the entire nation a very Happy Vijayadashami. PM Modi said, "Today the Bhoomi Pujan of Phase-first Hostel has been done and by 2024 the work of both the phases will be completed. How many youths, sons and daughters will get a new direction from your efforts, they will get an opportunity to make their dreams come true.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office the hostel building has residential facilities for around 1500 students. It also contains an auditorium and a dedicated library for the students. Phase second of Construction of Hostel to accommodate 500 girls will also start from next year.
