Islamabad: There has been a long-time demand for Sidhi country to be independent in Pakistan. The Sindhis, who have been demanding a separate country for years, have now begun to ask for help openly from the neighbouring countries of Pakistan. A massive pro-independence rally held on the 117 birth anniversary of GM Syed who was one of the founders of modern Sindhi nationalism, appeared with the posters Indian PM Narendra Modi and other world leaders on the hand for the independence of the protestors.

During the massive rally held at Syed's hometown in Jamsoro district of Sindh province of Pakistan, people also raised slogans in support of independence. In the rally, some people claimed that Sindh is the home of the Indus Valley Civilization and the Vedic religion, which was illegally occupied by the British Empire and the area was shifted to the Islamic hands of Pakistan in 1947 by the British.

Shafi Muhammad Burfat, president of JE Sindh Muttahida Mahaz said that Sindh gave its name to India, citizens of Sindh, who were at the forefront of the industry, philosophy, maritime navigation, mathematics and astronomy, are today chained to Islam-O-fascist terrorism by the Union of Pakistan. There are many nationalist parties in Sindh who support a free Sindh nation. They have been raising this issue on various international platforms.
