New Delhi: Today the birth anniversary of saint-poet Ravidas is being celebrated all over the country. On this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, PM Narendra Modi, and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati paid tribute to her on her birth anniversary. President Kovind said in a tweet, 'Best wishes to all countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Ravidas Jayanti. Guru Ravidas Ji emphasized the values of social equality, unity, morality and diligence. Let us follow their teachings and move forward unitedly to build a society and country based on equality, unity, and justice.'
At the same time, PM Narendra Modi tweeted from his official Twitter handle, saying that the message was given by Sant Ravidas Ji on equality, goodwill, and compassion centuries ago is going to inspire the countrymen for ages. My regards to him on his birth anniversary. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu tweeted that, 'My humble tribute to the great poet-saint Guru Ravidas Ji on his birth anniversary today. Ravidas Ji believed in universal brotherhood and has given a message of unity through his creations and teachings. Today, when we are remembering him, also follow his teachings and take a pledge that we will follow the path shown by him.'
At the same time, BSP supremo Mayawati has written in her tweet that, on the birth anniversary of the great saint Guru Ravidas ji who gave the immortal humanitarian message of 'Man changa to kathoti mein ganga', heartfelt greetings to his crores of followers living in the country and the world Congratulations and best wishes. Santguru spent his whole life in an attempt to make a man a human being.
