Modi's assets increased, wealth of 10 ministers has also increased- PMO report

New Delhi: The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has declared the assets of PM Narendra Modi. Along with this, the PMO has also given information about the assets of 10 ministers. The value of PM Modi's movable assets has increased by Rs 26.13 lakh during the financial year 2021-22. Along with this, the Prime Minister has also invested in a residential plot in Gujarat.

It is noteworthy that PM Modi's movable assets were Rs 1,97,68,885 at the end of March 2021, which has increased to Rs 2,23,82,504 in March 2022. This includes fixed deposits, bank balances, national savings certificates, life insurance policies, bank balances, jewellery and cash. PM Modi has marked 'Zero' in the column of immovable properties. A note said, 'The real estate survey number 401/A was jointly shared with three other joint owners and each held an equal share of 25 per cent. A portion has been donated.'

Last year, PM Modi had listed a quarter (3,531.45 sq ft) in a residential plot located in survey number 401/A Sector-1, Gandhinagar, which is said to have a market value of around Rs 1.10 crore. Along with this, 10 Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, RK Singh, Dharmendra Pradhan, Hardeep Singh Puri, G Kishan Reddy, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Purushottam Rupala, V Muraleedharan, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's property assets have also been mentioned in the PMO website. The property details of 8 ministers out of 30 cabinet ministers are available on the website and out of 45 ministers of state, details of only two are available. Details of assets of two Ministers of State (Independent Charge) are not available.

Among union ministers, defence minister Rajnath Singh's movable assets have increased by Rs 29.58 lakh from Rs 2.24 crore to Rs 2.54 crore as of March 31, 2022. At the same time, Rajnath Singh's immovable assets were Rs 2.97 crore during the last two years and are still the same. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has declared total assets of Rs 35.63 crore and liabilities of Rs 58 lakh as of March 31, 2022. His wife Priyadarshini Raje Scindia has declared assets worth Rs 14.30 lakh and liabilities of Rs 74,000. Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy has shown total assets worth Rs 1.43 crore. Kishan Reddy has also declared movable and immovable assets worth Rs 8.21 crore and liabilities of Rs 75.16 lakh in the name of his wife G Kavya.

At the same time, the assets of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have increased from Rs 1.62 crore to Rs 1.83 crore. Dharmendra Pradhan has declared assets worth Rs 2.92 crore in the name of his wife Mridula T Pradhan. Union Animal Husbandry Minister Parshottam Rupala's total assets have been shown to be Rs 7.29 crore, which is Rs 1.42 crore more than last year. Rupala showed the total assets of his wife Savitaben Rupala at Rs 5.59 crore, an increase of Rs 45 lakh over the previous year.
