Today PM Narendra Modi will reply to the motion of thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha. There is a possibility that his address will start in the Lok Sabha at 3 pm. Earlier, he appeared in the Parliament in a special blue jacket. This jacket of PM is not made of cloth but recycled material of plastic bottles. This special jacket was presented to PM Narendra Modi by the Indian Oil Corporation on the occasion of India Energy Week held in Bengaluru on Monday. It is made from PET bottles. The objective of India Energy Week was to showcase India's growing power as a superpower in the energy transition.

Sri Renga Polymers, a company in Karur, Tamil Nadu, has prepared the fabric of this jacket of Prime Minister Modi. The company had sent 9 different colored clothes made from PET bottles to Indian Oil. Out of this, the sandalwood-colored cloth was chosen for Prime Minister Modi. Thereafter, this cloth was sent to Prime Minister Modi's tailor present in Gujarat and he again prepared this jacket.

About 15 bottles are needed to make one such jacket. At the same time, about 28 bottles are required to prepare the full dress. Water is not used to color it. First, the fiber is prepared, then it is converted into the fabric and finally, the garment is ready. The market price of a jacket made by recycling plastic is only Rs 2000. Over 100 million PET bottles will be recycled to make clothes for Indian Oil employees and the armed forces.
