New Delhi: Seeing the performance of farmers who have stood on the borders of Delhi for the last 22 days against the agricultural laws, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has written an eight-page letter to the farmers on Thursday. PM Modi has urged the farmers to read the letter written by the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, trying to 'humble dialogue'.

Agriculture Minister Tomar, through a letter, requested the farmers, who were protesting at various borders in Delhi, to avoid confusion against the three agricultural laws for 'political selfishness'. He also alleged that an attempt is being made to create a 'wall of lies' between the government and the farmers. Tomar also shared a copy of the letter on Twitter. PM Modi responded to his tweet by tweeting, 'Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar Ji has expressed his feelings by writing a letter to the farmer brothers and sisters, trying to have a polite dialogue. I request all the contributors to read it. The countrymen are also urged that they should extend it to as many people as possible.'

In a letter to farmers, Tomar claimed that three agricultural reform laws will form the foundation of a new chapter in Indian agriculture, and will make the farmers more independent and stronger. Terming the agricultural laws as 'historic', Tomar said that he has held talks with farmers 'organizations in many states and welcomed them by many farmers' organizations.
