New Delhi: Farmers' organizations across the country have announced the Bharat Bandh today against agricultural bills. Meanwhile, PM Modi has made a special appeal to farmers. He has shared an interview of Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on social media. It has discussed agricultural bills. Modi has urged farmers that farmers must watch this interview.
It is noteworthy that in the Monsoon Session, the Parliament has approved the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill-2020 and the Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance Agreement and Agreement on Agricultural Services Bill-2020. Farmers in Punjab and Haryana have been protesting on this. PM Modi shared Tomar's interview and wrote on social media that, `` The government made continuous efforts for the welfare of farmers, even then why the Agriculture Bill recently passed in Parliament became necessary for them. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has explained in detail. Everyone must see and hear it. '
Let us tell you that even before this, PM Narendra Modi has twice clarified on the agricultural bills. Modi had described them as necessary steps and said that farmers are being misled. PM Modi had also said that these bills are not going to end the mandi system nor will there be any effect on the MSP.
