Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (September 2) handed over the first indigenous powerful aircraft carrier to the country's Navy. During this, PM Modi while addressing the nation said that this is India's befitting reply to all the challenges of the sea. He said that today every Indian is witnessing the new sunrise of the country on the coast of Kerala. 

PM Modi said that this event being held on the INS Vikrant is a scream of India's rising spirits on the horizon of the world. Today we are seeing a powerful picture of the capable India that our freedom fighters had dreamed of in the freedom movement. Vikrant is gigantic, vast and expansive. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that Vikrant is not just a warship, but a solid proof of the hard work, talent, influence and commitment of 21st century India. In today's era, the sea and the challenges are endless, and then India's answer is INS Vikrant.

PM Modi said INS Vikrant is the incomparable elixir of the brew of freedom. Vikrant is a unique reflection of India becoming self-reliant. He said that it is a proud moment for every Indian. No matter how difficult the goals are, the challenges are the biggest, but when India is determined to do something, then no goal is impossible. PM Modi also said that today India has joined those countries in the world, which are capable of building such a huge aircraft carrier with indigenous technology. 

Dedicating the indigenous ship to the nation, PM Modi has said that today INS Vikrant has filled the country with a new confidence. A new confidence has been created in the country. Seeing Vikrant today, these waves of the ocean are calling that let's go, let's go. The steel in its base has also been prepared by the scientists of DRDO of India. The amount of electricity it generates can light 5000 homes.
