New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has said that the cases of coronavirus in India have come down and the rate of recovery has reached 88 percent. He said that this has been possible because India was among the first to implement lockdown, with which people were motivated to put on masks and follow social distancing.
In his inaugural address addressing the annual meeting of Grand Challenges through video conference, Modi said that "We are at the forefront of developing corona infection vaccine and some are in the last stage of trials". He said that today we see that the cases of corona infection in the country are decreasing every day and the rate of its growth has also come down. In India, the rate of recovery has also gone up to 88 percent.
He has said that, "This became possible because India was one of the first countries to impose lockdown. India was among the first countries to encourage people to wear masks. India worked effectively to detect the infection and was one of the first countries to launch rapid antigen screening. We are not going to stop here. We are also developing the mechanism of vaccine delivery. ''
