New Delhi: PM Modi held a meeting with chief ministers of six states today to review the flood situation. During the meeting, there was a discussion on how to get rid of the problems caused by the floods in these six states of the country. This meeting was done by PM Modi through videoconferencing with the Chief Ministers.

It is noteworthy that flood has caused havoc on a large scale in states like Mumbai, Kerala and Bihar. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also spoke in PM Modi's video conferencing. The team of officers of the Union Health Ministry including Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray also connected with this by video conferencing. PM Modi has taken detailed information about the flood situation in Bihar. Although the government is constantly carrying out relief and rescue operations, but due to rain, most of the rivers are in spate and the risk of flood is increasing.

Due to the rise in the water level of Bagmati on Sunday, flood water entered more than half a dozen streets of Darbhanga city. One to two feet water has been filled in many streets including Bela, Jalan College area, Naya Gharari, in the western part of the city. Due to flood water coming from NH 57, the situation has become serious in many other mohallas. Flood waters are draining rapidly in Muzaffarpur. However, there is still flooding of hundreds of houses.
