New Delhi: International Yoga Day will be celebrated on Sunday amid the global epidemic corona virus crisis. Due to Coronavirus, this time people will not gather at one place and will celebrate International Yoga Day on digital platform and at home. This is the first time the International Yoga Day program will be held on a digital platform. During this time, the message of PM Narendra Modi will be broadcast in the name of the country.

This year the theme of International Yoga Day will be - 'Yoga at home, Yoga with family'. However, from 7 am on June 21, people will be able to connect to the International Yoga Day program through the Internet. While giving the information, the officials said that on the International Day, Indian Missions located abroad will also connect with the people through institutions supporting digital media and yoga.

Earlier, the Ministry of AYUSH had planned to organize a grand event in Leh on International Yoga Day, but due to Coronavirus it had to be canceled. Let us tell you that every year since 2015, International Yoga Day is being celebrated on 21 June. Following the proposal of PM Narendra Modi, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared 21 June as International Yoga Day.
