Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a function of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Delhi today. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat and three Armed Forces Chiefs will also be present at the event to be held at the Cariappa Ground.

During the event, PM Modi will inspect the march past of the Guard of Honour and NCC teams and also attend a cultural event. NCC cadets marching in front of PM Modi are also a team of Lucknow University and its recognised college. The team of 34 cadets will attend the NCC rally at the Cariappa ground. The cadets who are selected in the parade are very happy. He said that it is a matter of pride for him to represent Lucknow at the national level.

Col SK Mishra said, "This team of 34 cadets comprises 20 boys and 14 girls from the Senior Division. Out of these, 8 cadets will be the guard of honour while 26 cadets will march before PM Modi." The cadets had been preparing for the event for quite some time. They were also rigorously tested before they were selected for the prestigious parade. At least 1000 cadets from all over the country are going to join the parade.
