New Delhi: The grand finale of 'Smart India Hackathon 2020', run by the Modi government to encourage information technology in the country, is going to start on Saturday, 1 August. This hackathon, running till August 3, is the largest event of this type in the world. This event will begin with the address of PM Narendra Modi on Saturday.
All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Persistent Systems and i4C, an organization of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, are jointly organizing this event. This time 10 thousand participants are participating in this event. PM Narendra Modi will address the candidates before the start of this competition. The PM will share his thoughts with all the participants through video conference.
In order to promote innovation in the field of technology in the country, the central government is organizing this event in 2017. This hackathon is being organized with the goal of solving the problems related to the functioning of the central government. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that this effort of the central government has been very successful and for the first time in 2017, 42 thousand students had joined, this number has increased to 4 lakhs this year.
