Leh: China is constantly engaged in carrying out its nefarious intentions on the Ladakh border. Meanwhile, India has got great success. Strategically important 'Atal Tunnel' connecting Rohtang to Leh border has been prepared. With the help of this tunnel, Ladakh will now be connected to other areas throughout the year. Earlier it was not possible due to snowfall.

This tunnel is also important during the ongoing confrontation with China because now the arms and soldiers of the army will be easily transported to the border. PM Modi will inaugurate Atal Tunnel on 25 September. Built at the height of 10 thousand feet, the world's longest 8.8-kilometre long tunnel has been completed. It took a long time of ten years to build it. But now due to this, the distance between Manali to Leh has reduced by about 46 kilometres. Talking about the tunnel, it is about 8.8 kilometres long and 10 meters wide.

Brigadier KP Purushothaman, the Chief Engineer of the Atal Tunnel, while talking to a private news channel, has told how the tunnel was constructed in a difficult situation. Special care has been taken in the design of this tunnel that during snow and avalanche it should not be affected. Within this tunnel, CCTV cameras will be installed at certain distances which will help in controlling speed and accidents.
