New Delhi. In the coronavirus epidemic, the Modi government has come up with a mega plan for migrant workers. Under this, a complete roadmap has been prepared for the employment and rehabilitation of lakhs of people returning to their states and villages during the lockdown. It has been named Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan. PM Narendra Modi will launch this scheme on 20 June.

Under the leadership of PM Modi, the central government is taking steps for the interests of the poor, laborers, and farmers. Whether it is a poor welfare package of 1.70 lakh crore or, it is resolved to create a self-sufficient India with a package of 20 lakh crore. Now with this new scheme, the government aims to maintain employment in rural India even in the Corona crisis. In this scheme, 116 districts of these 6 states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha will be covered. In the past days, more than 25 thousand migrant workers have returned.

Garib Kisan Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan is for 125 days, which will be run on a mission mode. The aim is to ensure the benefits of employment, livelihood, poor welfare facilities, and skill development for workers returning during the lockdown. Under this, 25 types of jobs have been included for migrant workers. 50 thousand crore rupees are estimated to be spent in this scheme.
