New Delhi: PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the new Parliament on 10 December. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla has given this information. According to media reports, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of New Parliament House in New Delhi on December 10 and will perform 'Bhoomipujan'. It is noteworthy that the Lok Sabha speaker met PM Modi on Saturday. After which, information about the dates of the foundation stone has been given.

It is noteworthy that the contract to build the new Parliament has been given to Tata Projects Limited, which will build a new Parliament building at a cost of about 861.90 crores. This building will be built near the existing Parliament House. It is expected to be completed in about 21 months. The new building will have enough space to seat 1,350 MPs even if the joint session is underway.

According to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the building will be spread over 65 thousand square meters, which will also have an area underground of 16921 square meters. In this way, the building will have a ground floor and two more floors including underground. A media report has given detailed information about the new Parliament complex. According to this, the new design will have a triangular complex, so that rays of three colours will fall in the sky.
