PM Modi to transfer Rs. 18,000 crore to farmers' account tomorrow amid farmers' protest

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will release the next instalment of financial assistance to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Fund on December 25. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that by pressing a button, Modi will transfer Rs 18,000 crore to the accounts of more than nine crore farmer-beneficiaries.

A statement issued by PMO said that PM Narendra Modi will also interact with farmers from six states during the event. According to this, farmers will share their experiences with PM Modi on PM-Kisan and other agricultural welfare schemes of the central government. Under this scheme, Rs. 6000/-is sent to farmers' accounts in three instalments per annum. An amount of Rs. 2,000 is sent to farmers' bank account in three instalments.

This programme is happening at a time when farmers on all borders of Delhi have been agitating for the last few weeks demanding cancellation of three agricultural laws of the central government. The government is claiming that these three laws are in the interest of the farmers. To count the benefits, the BJP is also continuously putting up Kisan Choupal, in which it is communicating with the farmers.
