New Delhi: On the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Parliament of the country, PM Narendra Modi has paid tribute to remember the sacrifice and courage of the people who died in the attack. On the anniversary of the attack, PM Modi tweeted that, "We will never forget the cowardly attack on our Parliament on this day in 2001. We remember the valour and sacrifice of those who lost their lives protecting our Parliament. India will always be thankful to them.

Significantly, 19 years ago, on 13 December 2001, five terrorists of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked Parliament. All the terrorists were piled up by the security personnel stationed in the Parliament complex to counter this attack. In this attack, five Delhi Police personnel, a woman constable of CRPF and two guards of Parliament, Veergati were received.

On December 13, 2001, five Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked Parliament, the largest temple of democracy. These five terrorists reached Parliament in a white ambassador car. The winter session was in Parliament. During that time, hundreds of MPs including PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Leader of the Opposition Sonia Gandhi were also present in the Parliament. Due to this firing of terrorists, many soldiers were martyred and the security forces had killed five terrorists on the same day.
