New Delhi: On the 123rd birth anniversary of freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind Fauj, Subhash Chandra Bose, PM Narendra Modi said on Thursday that this country will always be grateful to the 'Netaji' who always stands for the progress and well-being of Indian comrades. Modi shared the 1.55-minute video on Twitter regarding Netaji's contribution to the freedom struggle and recalled his dedication to the country's independence.

PM Modi has said that India will always remain grateful to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for his bravery and indelible contribution to resisting colonialism. He stood up for the progress and well-being of his fellow Indians. PM Modi also shared a letter written by Netaji's father Janakinath Bose during his birth on Twitter.

In the caption of this post, he wrote that, '23 January 1897, Jankinath Bose wrote in his diary,' A son is born at midnight. ' This son became a brave freedom fighter and thinker, who devoted his life to the freedom of one great - India. I am talking about Netaji Bose, whom we remember today with pride on his birth anniversary. '
