PM Modi leaves for the US, will attend 'Howdy Modi' event

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a seven-day visit to the US. Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for the US by Air India flight at around 11 pm on Friday. The PM will stay in the US from September 21 to 27. During this period, he will be the first to attend the much-awaited Howdy Modi. The event is being held in the U.S. city of Houston on September 22. The Prime Minister will address the Indian community here. Prime Minister Modi will meet with US President Donald Trump and address the annual un-conference of the UN General Assembly. During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will meet Trump twice.

Before leaving for his US visit, Prime Minister Modi spoke of further strengthening India-US relations. In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi said, he is eagerly awaiting a meeting with US President Donald Trump. The Prime Minister said the visit will be an opportunity to meet a number of world leaders. In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister also shared the outline of his visit with the US, saying that new relations have been created.

"My upcoming visit to the US will have a number of high-level events that will further strengthen India-US relations," Modi tweeted. During the visit, some important multilateral events and interactions with the Indian community and business leaders will take place. The Prime Minister said the US tour will begin with a big event in Houston."I will hold talks with the top CEOs of the energy sector, Indians and top leaders from the US. The event is an energetic city like Houston will definitely communicate more energy in our relationship". Prime Minister Modi's visit is seen as significant in the recent move taken by India on Kashmir.
