New Delhi: Today is a day of festivals in North to South India. Today, many festivals including Makar Sankranti, Pongal are being celebrated, and Jallikattu is also being celebrated today. There are also many political developments in the shade of these festivals that will reflect the future elections. Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, BJP chief JP Nadda and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat are in Tamil Nadu today to participate in different events.
Earlier on Thursday, PM Modi greeted the nation on all other festivals including Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Magh Bihu. In Tamil Nadu, union chief Mohan Bhagwat pongal is scheduled to celebrate the festival today. Bhagwat offered prayers at the Sri Kadumbadi Temple in Chennai and attended the Pongal celebrations. BJP President JP Nadda will also be in Chennai on Thursday to celebrate Pongal. He will also participate in some other events.
In Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK government is currently giving a lot of gifts to people on the occasion of Pongal. Some other gifts including Rs 2500, sugarcane, shirts, sarees are being given to the people. Political parties have begun to stir up the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu this year. Political parties have been gathering on the occasion of Pongal, the state's largest festival. Rahul Gandhi, who returned from a foreign trip, will stay in Madurai, Tamil Nadu on Thursday. Rahul Jallikattu will be involved in the game.
