New Delhi: Today India is celebrating 71st Republic Day. This year, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro arrives in India as the Chief Guest on Republic Day. On this occasion, strong security arrangements have been made throughout the country. In the capital of the country, 48 Company Central Forces, 22 thousand police personnel have been deployed. Blackcat commandos of the Delhi Police have been put under security in whatever place and buildings are considered sensitive during the Republic Day parade. Tight security arrangements will remain in place till the 'atholm' held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan after the parade.

On the occasion of Republic Day, PM Modi has also congratulated the countrymen by tweeting. At the same time, the Congress Party has tweeted that our ancestors fought bravely to give us the Constitution. Congress further wrote that the Constitution gives us rights and freedom, acts as a guiding light for the government and all citizens. Simultaneously, the Congress has wished Republic Day.

On the occasion of India's 71st Republic Day, Jammu and Kashmir Police is going to get the highest gallantry medals with 108 medals followed by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) number which is going to receive 76 medals. This information is given in an official release issued on Saturday.
