Bhopal: Everyone is facing financial crisis due to Corona lockdown. Under the Prime Minister's Self-Sufficient Self-Fund Scheme in Madhya Pradesh, loans worth Rs. 1000 crores will be provided to those doing pavement or ferry business. For this, more than eight lakh registrations of 378 urban bodies have been done. Under this scheme, a loan of ten thousand rupees is going to be provided from each bank. In this regard, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that rural areas will also be included in the scheme. In this scheme implemented by the central government, businessmen will be given ten thousand rupees. In this, the central government will pay seven percent interest. The state government will bear the interest above this.

Chief Minister has said that the State Government will take the guarantee of the loan. More than eight lakh street vendors have been registered on the Urban Unorganized Workers Portal. A target of disbursing more than one thousand crore rupees has been set in Madhya Pradesh. The scheme has been implemented in 378 urban bodies. It includes such street vendors, who used to work as street vendors in urban areas before 24 March 2020. The benefit of the scheme will be available on the body having a town vending certificate and identity card.

For those who have registered to get a loan of ten thousand rupees, 62 percent of the men and 38 percent of women are involved. Most sellers do 28.36 percent vegetable business. 10.27 percent of the cloth, 7.23 percent of fruits and 6.84 percent of food and drink business.
