NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold the "first national conference of chief secretaries" in Dharamshala on June 16 and 17.

The summit, which will be hosted in the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala, will be a key step toward further strengthening the Centre-state government collaboration. The event, which will take place from June 15 to 17, will bring together over 200 people from the Centre, all states/UTs, and domain experts.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement that it will focus on quick and sustained economic growth in conjunction with the States over three days. "The conference will lay the groundwork for collaborative action for higher growth with sustainability, job creation, education, ease of life, and aatmanirbharta in agriculture by working as Team India. The focus of the Conference will be on the establishment and implementation of a common development agenda and blueprint for coordinated action to meet people's aspirations "It was stated.

After more than 100 rounds of deliberation over the course of six months, the conference's idea and agenda were finalised. Implementation of the National Education Policy, Urban governance, Crop diversification and achieving self-sufficiency in oilseeds, pulses, and other agri-commodities are the three issues that will be discussed in depth at the conference. Both school and university education will be discussed in the National Education Policy. Under each of the categories, best practices from states/UTs will be presented during the conference for mutual learning.
