NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the nation, the main tunnel and five underpasses of the Pragati Maidan Integrated Transit Corridor Project to on  Sunday, June 19 in the national capital.

The Pragati Maidan Redevelopment Project includes the Integrated Transit Corridor project. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi will also address the nation.

The Central Government-funded project, which cost Rs 920 crore, intends to provide hassle-free and smooth access to the new world-class exhibition and conference centre being created at Pragati Maidan, allowing exhibitors and visitors to easily participate in the programmes being hosted there.

"However, the project's impact will extend far beyond Pragati Maidan, as it will ensure smooth vehicular flow, saving commuters a significant amount of time and money." It is part of the government's overarching strategy to assure people's ease of living by changing urban infrastructure, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Ring Road and India Gate are connected by the main tunnel, which runs through Pragati Maidan and Purana Qila Road. The six-lane divided tunnel serves has multiple purposes, including providing access to Pragati Maidan's massive basement parking lot.
