Another big disclosure in PMC scam, former MD bought 9 flats with second wife

New Delhi: Another important revelation has been made in the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) bank scam case. The game of former MD Joey Thomas, one of the main accused in the scandal, has been revealed. Former MD Thomas had bought 9 flats and 1 shop in Kondwa and Pune city since 2012. These properties were bought by Thomas together with his second wife.

The Economic Offenses Branch (EOW), investigating the case, found that all the assets were purchased within the period beginning 2012. This happened at the same time when HDIL accused Rakesh and Sarang Wadhavan had stopped repaying the loan and continued to borrow extra amount. The source of income for buying these properties which is jointly in the name of Thomas and his second wife. At present, information is being collected in detail.

Giving information, an investigating officer has told that this property is in the name of Thomas and his second wife and we have to find out the ownership share of ten properties. After this, we can take action by attaching the assets. He has said that apart from ten properties, Thomas also owns a flat in Thane, which is in the possession of the son of the first wife.
