NEW DELHI:  With nearly 780 electric buses running across the country, PMI Electro Mobility, India's leading electric bus manufacturer and operator, on Friday announced that it is now the second-largest electric bus brand in India.

Following the delivery of 25 electric buses to Surat as part of a wider agreement to provide 150 electric buses to the Surat Municipal Corporation, PMI Electro issued this announcement.

In a statement, Satish Jain, Chairman of PMI Electro Mobility, said, "We are eleted to emerge as the second-largest electric bus manufacturer in India in barely five years of beginning operations." He said, "Our manufacturing expertise and dependable engineering have enabled us to timely deliver orders to STUs (State Transport Undertakings) and offer citizens with clean public transportation." "Our electric buses have proven their mettle even on tough terrains like Ladakh and have encouraged people to use public transportation," he added. Mahendra Nath Pandey, the Union Minister of Heavy Industries, flagged off these e-buses towards Surat from the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar.

With the addition of Surat, PMI Electro has expanded its footprint to over 23 Indian cities, making it the country's leading manufacturer of electric buses.

Other cities with successful electric bus operations managed by PMI include Kerala, Ladakh, Lucknow, Nagpur, Odisha, Rajkot, Delhi, and Agra.

One of India's top e-bus manufacturers, PMI Electro Mobility, has notably 777 electric buses operating in 23 cities all throughout the nation.

To guarantee that passengers have a safe ride, these electric buses are fitted with a variety of safety features like RTMS (real-time monitoring system) and CCTV cameras. Also, features like air suspension guarantee that e-buses can safely navigate challenging road conditions while providing passengers with a comfortable journey.
