 Laddoo is a traditional sweet dish which is considered to be the most preferred and loved sweet dishes of India. They are made with various variations like Besan Laddoo, Boondi Laddoo, Atta Laddoo and the list is never-ending. One such scrumptious variety of laddoo includes Poha Laddoo which most of you would be unaware of. These easy-to-make laddoos are made using easily available ingredients such as pressed rice, cashews, cardamom, sugar and split black gram. Treat your friends and family this festive season with a laddoo recipe that they will relish eating for a lifetime. You can also serve these laddoos during game nights, kitty parties and buffets.

Ingredients of Poha Laddoo

1 1/2 cup pressed rice

1/2 cup split black gram

1 green cardamom

2 teaspoon chopped cashews

8 tablespoon sugar

refined oil as required

How to make Poha Laddoo

Step 1

To start with, take a non-stick pan and over low flame dry roast poha without burning it. When done, transfer it to a plate and keep it aside. Now, dry roast split black gram in a similar way for a few minutes and then, transfer to the plate containing poha.

Step 2

Add roasted poha and gram in a mixer. Also, add sugar and cardamom. Grind to a fine powder and transfer to a bowl.

Step 3

Now, heat oil in a pan and fry cashews till golden brown. Transfer the cashews to the bowl containing ground powder. Mix well and ensure there are no lumps formed.

Step 4

Make laddoos from the mixture. Make as many laddoos as possible. When done, keep it aside to set and then you can serve it.
