Dantewada: In the Naxal-affected Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, the security forces have arrested three rewarded Naxalites including a woman after an encounter. Pallava said that DRG, women DRG Danteshwari fighters, STF and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces team were dispatched in patrolling after the presence of nearly two dozen Naxalites, including Naxal commander Gudadhur, in the border area of Dantewada and Sukma district. The police officer said that when the security forces were in the forest of Mirchipara and Nahari villages, the Naxalites started firing on the security forces.
The security forces also retaliated when the Naxalites started fleeing into the forest. Meanwhile, three Naxalites were arrested by the security forces. Pallav said that the arrested Maoist is LGS deputy commander of the Haramma Malangir Area Committee. He has been involved in several Naxalite incidents in the area since 2014. A reward of three lakh rupees was also declared on his head. The Superintendent of Police said that there is also a charge of involvement in the Nilavya attack on Harama in October 2018.
