4 arrested in Aligarh massacre so far, police force deployed in the area

Aligarh: Police have so far arrested 4 persons in connection with the brutal killing of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl at Tappal in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The main accused, Zahid, his wife Shagufta, brother Mehndi Hassan and Aslam, have been arrested.

At the same time, a heavy police force has been deployed to maintain security and safety in the area. PAC, UP police soldiers and RAF constables are deployed. About 1200 policemen are stationed at Tupple. The flag march has also been carried out in view of the tension in the area on the part of the police and paramilitary forces. Police have already been berkeding 200 metres from the victim's family and the accused's home. Also, 5 people have been arrested on violation of section 144.

The police had already arrested the main accused Zahid and Aslam. On Saturday morning, Zahid's wife Shagufta and brother Mehndi Hassan have been taken into custody by the sit. Aligarh high Superintendent of police Akash Kuharri has said that the police is making a strong case against the accused so that it can live up to all legal procedures and ensure immediate justice through the fast Track court.
