Lucknow: Kanpur Police Special investigation team (SIT) has arrested the chief executive of a private hospital in connection with the kidney racket from Delhi. The Superintendent of Police (crime) of Kanpur, Rajesh Yadav, has informed the matter that Dr. Deepak Shukla was arrested from Delhi on Friday night. They are being brought to Kanpur from there.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Deepak Shukla is a CEO at a private hospital in Delhi. The international kidney racket was busted on 17th February in Kanpur. The people involved in the racket used to remove the kidney of the poor and give it to transplant patients. Some foreigners were also involved in the patients. Police have arrested Lakhimpur Kheri's Gaurav Mishra, T Rajkumar Rao of Kolkata, Shailesh Saxena of Badarpur New Delhi, Saboor Ahmad of Kakori Lucknow, Vicky Singh of Panki Kanpur.

Besides these, Shamshad Ali and Shyam Tiwari and Ramu Pandey of the Chowk Lucknow have been taken up in the case. According to the police, investigations so far have revealed that the poor who sold the kidney were snared in the Pride trap. His kidney was then removed and sold.
