Mumbai: Around 500 depositors of PMC Bank gathered outside the Reserve Bank office at the Bandra Kurla campus on Sunday. Later, he reached CM's residence 'Matoshri' in Bandra to meet CM Uddhav Thackeray. Around 50 depositors performed outside CM Uddhav Thackeray's residence. After which the police took them into custody. However, some of them were later released. Police has given information about this.
CM Thackeray later met with a delegation of depositors of the troubled bank and assured them that his government would take all necessary steps to bring justice to the bank's customers. A police officer has said that these protesters shouted slogans against the Reserve Bank outside Thackeray's residence. They were demanding that their delegation be allowed to meet CM Thackeray.
Around 50 protesters, including some women, were taken into custody and taken to Khedawadi and BKC police station. Some of them were later released. After this, Thackeray met a delegation of depositors of PMC at his residence and heard their grievances and assured all possible help. CM Uddhav Thackeray said, My government will take all steps to cooperate with you.
