Muzaffarnagar, A woman abducted by priest in January was rescued and a priest was arrested. Police said, Premchand Goswami 27, was arrested yesterday from Barla village under Chapar police station in the district.
The 22-year-old woman was abducted by Premchand from near a bus stand in the village on January 9 last, according to FIR. The woman, who was found pregnant, was sent for medical examination, police said.
Police further added, she would be produced in the court for recording her statement regarding the eloping case.
